LEMA Summit 2026

2nd & 3rd March

On the 2nd and 3rd March 2026, we will hold our two-day event at Leeds Castle in Kent. This is an opportunity to help set the agenda and to be seen as a leader in this vital and emerging field. The LEMA Summit 2026 invites selected guests to discuss how the LEMA Approach could:

  • connect new demand on constrained networks

  • reduce bills, support growth, increase resilience

  • promote and enable the wide-scale adoption of Smart Local Energy Systems

The energy efficiency of the last mile is central to maximising the ability of Low Carbon Technologies to

  • Release capacity to accelerate growth

  • Increase local resilience

  • Reduce the cost of energy and enhance living standards

Since our last Summit, LEMA members have made significant progress, particularly in defining a Dynamic Load Averaging (DLA) Service and identifying pathfinder sites.

This year’s summit focuses on increasing the value of the last mile by applying DLA services to these pathfinder opportunities to establish site specific smart local energy systems, address practicalities and realise the benefits.

During the summit, we will:

  • Demonstrate the potential that LCT installations in new build, existing residential, and commercial properties offer for capacity management

  • Address the practicalities of delivering smart local energy systems on the ground

  • Show how LEMA helps open realistic routes to companies looking to understand, engage with, and implement energy planning initiatives.

LEMA aims to enable our industry to step up to collectively ‘simplify the energy burden and unlock commercial growth’. It is about us taking action now.

Harnessing the benefits of the last mile

Programme - Day 1

The Summit is a series of round table discussions focused on pragmatic aspects of implementing site specific smart local energy systems in the next 18 months

Round Table 2 - 15:00

Making the proposition more tangible and achievable by learning from our pathfinder sites & consumer research

Round Table 3 - 16:30

Exploring the benefits of turning “The LEMA Approach” into a common, simplified procurement strategy

Round Table 1 - 13:30

Introducing Neighbourhood Energy, how the economics work, the financial opportunities and benefits of scaling up for members

Programme - Day 2

Round Table 5 - 11:00

Navigating the data space and the practicalities of managing the operation of a DLA service and integrating it with the grid

Round Table 6 - 13:30 - 15:00

Bringing it all together: how Dynamic Load Averaging can mitigate the immediate challenges of grid congestion, enhance the benefits of the Warm Homes Plan and integrate with Community Energy.

Round Table 4 - 09:30

How the Dynamic Load Averaging interfaces with energy utilities and can be applied to new and existing buildings
